Aiming to Preserve the Environment
The Virginia Living Museum is recognized by the National Science
Foundation for exceptional educational programs with hands-on
experiences that engage and connect students to the environment and
promote conservation. Every year over 240,000 visitors, including
60,000 school children from Hampton Roads, Central Virginia and beyond,
learn about our state’s amazing natural wonders. For many economically
disadvantaged children, this may be their first, and perhaps only,
positive contact with wildlife. While exploring the indoor and outdoor
exhibits on our 22-acre campus, visitors encounter more wildlife here
than in a lifetime of outdoor adventures in Virginia.
Your participation in the second annual Sporting Clay Classic means you
will be doing something you love while supporting conservation
education at the Virginia Living Museum. You’ll have an first- class,
down-home good time with sportsmen and sportswomen who appreciate the
outdoors and enjoy a friendly competition. Some call sporting clays
“golf with shotguns.” We call the Sporting Clay Classic a good day for
a great cause!
