Wild Things Museum Store

The 1,450 sq. ft Wild Things Museum Store at the Virginia Living Museum offers unusual science and nature-related gifts catering to every taste and budget.

Favorite youth selections include rock, mineral and fossil specimens, educational novelties and North American animal-themed jewelry. One-of-a-kind hand-made jewelry, collectible porcelain giftware, wildlife sculptures and unique home décor selections tempt the adult visitor.

Children delight in our comprehensive collection of native Virginia wildlife in stuffed animals and puppets, including over 70 Virginia birds with authentic calls from the Wild Republic Audubon Bird Collection, as well as unbreakable plastic replicas for hours of animal play. Puzzles, Games, posters, activity and craft kits all reflect our natural environment.

In the apparel line, there are fun socks, shirts, hats, neckties and tote bags, all with bold nature themes. The book department is an excellent source of juvenile and adult titles on native wildlife, birding, outdoor family nature exploration, our prehistoric past, astronomy and other educational topics.

The Wild Things Museum Store is a great source of unusual stocking stuffers from funny to elegant, but all themed to reflect the nature of Virginia. New this year are edible InsectNside lollipops and 36” Gummi Rattlesnakes for the sweet tooth, exquisite hand-painted porcelain miniatures by Northern Rose for the collector, adorable 3” plush animals for the old softie in all of us, jewelry from whimsical to divine.
