Specific Program Giving

We invite you to take an even greater role in advancing the Virginia Living Museum’s mission to educate by becoming a donor. Giving a gift to the museum provides important support to our exhibits and educational programs. Gifts of all amounts are important and greatly appreciated. The museum is a non-profit organization and your contribution is tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Please consult your tax advisor for further information.

There are a variety of easy ways for individuals, and businesses, to contribute through specific programs:

Memorial Gardens

Donations made in memory of loved ones help maintain our native plant gardens. We accept memorial gifts in any amount. The names are entered into the Museum's Book of Commemoration. Acknowledgements can be sent to the family upon request.

Animal Aid Club

We're looking for kids who have a passion for animals, a thirst for lemonade and an entreprenurial spirit. Join our new Animal Aid Club and we'll give you everthing you need to know to set up your own lemonade stand this summer to raise money for the Museum animals. Kick-off is Saturday, May 24. The program ends with a party on Sunday, Sept. 7. Animal lovers of all ages are welcome. Click here for detailed information and an application.

Wild Bunch

Have a craving for raw fish? Our turtles and otters sure do! Join the Wild Bunch, and your donation of $25, $50 or $100 will help feed the animals in our collection.

Guide Star

Through a special program by America Online (AOL), it's quick and easy to make a contribution to the Virginia Living Museum using your credit card. AOL guarantees the safety and security of your transaction. Numerous Naming Opportunities are available as part of the museum's $22.6 million expansion. Donations to the expansion can also be made through Guide Star.
