| Planetarium to reopen for "The Skies of jamestown" |
The Virginia Living Museum planetarium will reopen for two weeks this spring (March 31 - April 15) to present an original in-house production, "The Skies of Jamestown."
This production highlights the navigational difficulties faced by the colonists as they crossed the ocean on their journey to Jamestown and how astronomical events affected the lives of the settlers and the Native Americans. Also learn about the skies over Jamestown 400 years ago and today.
"The Skies of Jamestown" will be shown daily at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 p.m., plus 11 a.m. on Saturdays March 31 - April 15. There will be no shows on Sunday, April 8.
Admission is $3 per person.
This program is also available for group bookings from March 24 through Sept. 9. Minimum fee is $175. Must be booked in advance.
The museum is slocated at 524 j. Clyde Morris Blvd., Newport News, VA (I64, exit 258A).
Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
