The Virginia Living Museum offers a comprehensive benefits package for regular, full-time staff and their eligible dependents, which includes medical and dental insurance (cost-sharing involved), as well as term life insurance, long term disability insurance, flexible spending accounts and a 403 (B) tax sheltered annuity plan.

The Museum offers paid vacations, sick leave and holiday pay to all regular, full-time staff. The amount of the vacation to which an employee is entitled depends upon length of service from anniversary date. 

High school seniors through college students interested in gaining knowledge in the fields of Biology or Marine Biology are invited to inquire about internships at the VLM. We offer unpaid internships providing the opportunity for hands-on experience within our Aquarium Care or Herpetology areas. Students will gain practical experience for entering the job market.
