The VLM's Young Professionals Group
Join us for our THE ROMP, where young professionals can reach out and meet people at the Virginia Living Museum!
Next meeting is Wednesday, March 21, 2012. Doors open at 5:30pm, adventure begins at 6pm until approximately 7:30pm.
Join us every 3rd Wednesday of every other month,(January, March, May, July, September, November) when we welcome 25-40 year olds in a
unique setting throughout the Museum. Each meeting features light
bites, wine, beer, soda and conversation in a different area of the
Museum. ROMP members are invited to exclusive tours and fascinating
secret museum tidbits. Other great benefits include:

- new friends and fabulous experiences
- special family-friendly events
Try us out
with a guest admission of $10. Then join us as an Individual member for
only $65; couple membership $100. You can also convert your family
membership to include your ROMP dues. You’ll have access to the whole
museum, anytime you choose to visit during normal business hours.
(Hint: visit during your lunch break, or after a long day at work to
watch the otters play!...It’s like getting a massage for your
work-drained brain!)
The dilemma of the Young Professional…”How can I meet new people,
network, volunteer and have a unique experience?” The Virginia Living
Museum has solved the problem with the introduction of
the ROMP. ROMP is a fun social and networking membership group for young
professionals that has as its heart, love for the VLM. The mission is
to increase awareness, philanthropic support through creative
fundraising, environmentally-focused volunteer opportunities and
exclusive invitations to Romp and VLM events.
ROMP is named in honor of our playful mascots; romp referring to a group
of otters. Each monthly meeting (hosted on “odd” months of the year) is
intended to foster an appreciation of the VLM and its education mission
through friendship, networking and unique experiences.
